WALT: Take notes in an abbreviated form to show new learning.

Plan your ultimate 2 week vacation! What countries would you visit? What sights would you go to see? You need to take at least 20 notes(spiral book) about your chosen destination. You may choose to present your itinerary in either a Keynote or booklet. You may write this as if you are planning your own personal vacation, or as if you are a travel agent planning a trip for a group of people. Your itinerary should include:

  • A fun name or title for your trip – please be sure to include your name and class somewhere on your title page or slide

  • A map or maps that detail your route and show important physical and political features of each country

  • Images of the flags of each country you will visit

WALT: Sequence events into an allocated timeframe.

  • A detailed itinerary -what sights and landmarks you will be visiting on what day, and an explanation of why you are visiting each place

  • A photo gallery of places you will visit on your trip

WALT: Write about events in a sequential order.

Write a perspective recount of your dream holiday experience. Ensure that you are sequencing your events in order and providing detail about the attractions/features of your trip.

WALT: Use addition to compile total costings of items purchased.

Using the brochure supplied you are to purchase furniture for our new upstairs building. You will need to include a variety of furniture and record the details of the items purchased into the table supplied in the pages document below.



WALT: Use a key and symbols to plot items onto a birds-eye view map.

As you purchase items for the learning space you will need to fill the items in on the a3 map provided to you. You will need to identify symbols and colours that you will use to represent each item and provide this information in the form of a key on your map.

To complete this task you will need to have with you at all times:
  • Pages document with budgeting table
  • Furniture Brochure
  • Map
  • Pens, Pencils and a Ruler

EXTENSION: Only to be completed if all other tasks have been completed.

Search for additional luxury items that you may like to include within the learning space. (E.g. Plasma TV for broadcasting BTN and other educational programs, Fish Tanks, Bean Bags etc.)

Now describe the voting structure that is used in America. Who is allowed to vote? How is the voting conducted?

Provide a detailed response to which method of voting you prefer and why?

Record a podcast of you reading the newspaper article and add it to your iWeb listen to me page.
